When plums begin to ripen it happens in one week and all you have to do is harvest, eat, give away and preserve some. Shannon and Miriam were my willing helpers in harvesting the fruits. The joy of eating plums freshly plucked from the tree is priceless.
This morning we had stewed plums on pancakes. The combination was so good...we might make some more to make sure that we will not run out of plums till next year.
