Miriam and I are going to the Philippines tomorrow. This will be Miriam's first and therefore it is very exciting. Packing seems difficult for me right now because the weather here in California has become cold (Fall) and it is hard to imagine what is appropriate to wear in a country along the equator.
I am very excited to see my relatives again after maybe ten years. There has been a lot of changes in the place, the people, and even myself. Change usually can be a reason to feel awkward. The lack of smoothness in dealing with new things, relationships, and events are all disturbing at times. There is nothing that can be done to ease this situation other than to be understanding or accomodating of each other.
I just hope that it will be a pleasant experience for Miriam and I and for everyone else.
